The term “knowledge worker” was first coined by Peter Drucker in his book, The Landmarks of Tomorrow (1959). Drucker defined knowledge workers as high-level workers who apply theoretical and analytical knowledge, acquired through formal training, to develop products and services.
Umakers is a "Makerspace" or "FabLab". It is a community based workshop/membership club for artists, DIY'ers, inventors, small business and entrepreneurs. We are on a mission to democratize access to the tools of innovation. Over 500 Digitial Fabrication Labs(FABLABS) and 1000's of " Makerspaces" or have already opened around the world.
